Dear All,
Kindly help me how we are transfering the Data from Dev Client to Production Client
Regards
Reddy.
Hi,
You can transfer the data from development to the Production thr T.COde STMS.
When u save the data in development then create Request. After testing in development server, move the request from development to the Quality server. After tested in Quality server (if the data is correct), then u can move the Request from the Production.
But this transaction uses only Basis people.

HI
you don't transport directly from development to production
the process is
generally we do all configurations in development after that we export that data to transit directory . quality and testing people import data from transit directory and then they test it, if it is ok and then we will give message to basis people .so basis people transport that data to production
if it is useful to you give me points

you dont transfer data from dev to Prod or even from QAS to Prod.
The reason being is that there will be plenty of test data that you wont want.
the reason of a Dev client is so you can develop the solution and this will need to be tested. Normally a Dev box is small and so wont be able to handle large volumes of production data. Also you will probably perform a few test data migration runs, one as a sample, one for all eventualities and one for volume i.e.a copy of your current live data.
Prod will be clean, and then you perform a data migration.
Lastly remember your current live data will be changing all of the time.
Hope this helps, award points if this is useful.
