How can I redeploy the same version of SCA by using JSPM

Hi experts,

I want to redeploy a software component by using JSPM. But it only allows to deploy the component with higher version. I think there should be a parameter in configuration to control this. Any idea?

    Hi Ken,

    JSPM/SDM will not allow you to redeploy same version of SCA/SDA. One option is to undeploy the component using SDM, but again you need to know what components were updated by this SCA previously.

    Hi!

    At least for 7.0 JSPM seems to inherit the 'deployment configuration' settings from SDM. When you take a look at the SDM Gui you will find a box with the name 'Deployment Configuration' on the left and an 'up' arrow on the right. If you click this arrow you will see a selection of options (interesting for you are the settings for Updating SCAs/SDAs). The SDM Gui is typically started with the RemoteGui.[bat/.sh] from the directory /usr/sap//SDM/program - not sure for 7.1 though as I've never seen a live system so far.

    When you start JSPM you see links to SAP-Notes and a UserGuide - somewhere in that area it should be possible to find the solution for your problem.

      Hi ,

      Its possible to redeploy the same in SDM but i dont have idea abt JSPM.

      Because i redeployed the same component in SDM .

      Its possible without setting the parameter.

      Example after choosing the deploy option in sdm.Then you will import the same in sdm with the help of icon in the top.Then see the right bottom(just above).There will be one icon in that place if you are clicking so it will show the 3 options in that you can find the options like <b>deploy the compnent in the same version</b> after clicking the check box you can proceed further to deploy the component.
