Hello,
We are implementing ECM along with Objective setting and Appraisals. While I am able to link a bonus payment to a appraisal rating I am not sure how can I allow a manager to recommend progression for a subordinate from one pay scale level to another.
Therefore can a manager propose a new pay scale level for an employee?

There is a std funtion module provided by SAP for ECM 'HR_ECM_WRITE_SECONDARY_INFTY'. This function module contains a BADI 'HR_GET_BUSINESS_ADD_IN', we need to implement this badi & give the necessary coding related to ur business process.

Hi,
There are many user exits that can be implemented for compensation managment. One of these can be used to possibly move an employee from one pay scale to another.
go to:
transaction cmod, all compensation enhancement start wil PCMP*.
Change employee levels is not a standard function of ECM.
