BOM as well as Components Duplication - reg

Hi all,

In my project iam transfering the Header BOM as well as components of BOM to activities of project,which i have planned.

For this duplication will takes place while running MRP.

Because i want monitor components procurement/production as well as Header production also. But if i assign Header and components to activities,MRP will duplicate the requirements. But i could not deactivate the reservation for header also,because i want production order to be generated,i cant deactivate the component reservation also,because i want to monitor production/procurement of components in project.How to resolve this issue.

hi,

I am not able to understand, you are going to do CBP for procurement or MRP for your Components at you project cost center.

If CBP, once you issue to cost center, it will be taken in the planning only from storage location and it will not take the stock at the project.

If MRP it will take into planning from your project site and not the procurements storage location.

the other way to go is thro backflush, only after you post the consumption of the BOM's, then it will be taken in MRP.

Hi,

The basics of MRP :

Material Requirement Planning consists of : MRP ( for A Class Matrl- Products) run by PP Module Pals and CBP ( which is for B, C Class Material ) run by MM Module Pals.

You can issue this BOM for Production In MIGO and Can run MRP for it.

You can procure this BOM in MM and can run CBP for it.

Hope this will clear your doubts, as I have laid basics for you to carry your further activities.

Thanks for ur reply,

But actually my dought is iam having 70Activites in my Project.

For this iam having one header BOM which consists of 70 Assembly BOM's in that.

Now iam transfering the bom to project with reference point.Now each assembly bom will sit in respective Activity.

Ok,After releasing the project each activity raises one plan order,after confirming the production order that bom will come and sit in Project stock.This i will post to my activity.

Finally iam having 70Materials in my project stock.

Ok,now to get the final product again i have to assemble all 70 activities,for this i have to create again one activity and i have to attach again same header material here.

If i do like this Duplication cost will take for This BOM as well as components.
