    Hi,

I m adding some points here

Asset can be capitalised in two ways. One is from MM side and other one is from FICO side. You need follow the steps for the Assets master and trasactions

    Master Data

    Create Main Asset – AS01

    Create Sub-asset Master - AS11

    Transactional Data

    Asset Purchase posting - F-90

    Posting of Depreciation - AFAB

    Asset Sale - F-92

    Asset Transfer - ABUMN

    Asset scrapping - ABAVN

    If helpful then reward.

    hi jyoti,

In MM Asset accounting is plays a role,

    1. when ever you are procuring Machineries and some equipments, we will procure against the account assignment ASSETS in the PO.

2.these assets will be depreciated in a longer period.

    hope this may help you,

    Hi,

Basically we procure asset materials mentioining in PO - Account Asiignment Category as Asset, so that the cost of material will be maintained in seperate G/L account for asset. Also it should be noted that if Excise Duty is involved during procurement, only 50% of the CENVAT value can be claimed for this financial year and the rest in the next year.

Hope this will give you some idea.
