I think this is the wrong forum for that question, unless I misunderstand it, as this is about the E-Commerce package purchased separately from Business One.
In regards to connecting the client to the server, we use two options that work well for us.
1) Just use the built in terminal services to do a Remote Desktop Connection. That comes without extra licensing fees if you don't need a whole ton of people connecting simultaneously, and works well on most any speed connection.
2) VPN - B1 can connect to the server through a VPN connection, though we have had limited success with this. What I have heard is that B1 has major latency issues, which results in very slow data lookup and transfer, regardless of the internet connection speed. Distance from the server affects the speed of the hookup much more than the actual connection.
