Hi BW Gurus ,

The Staffing Assignment Data source 0HR_PA_OS_1 ,via two update rules feeds to one cube (0PAOS_C01 ) and one master data (0HRPOSITION_ATTR).

1) Can anyone tell me why it is feeding the master data ?

2) If the master data for 0HRPOSITION_ATTR is loaded from master data source earlier , do we need to still load 0HRPOSITION_ATTR from this transaction data source ?

3) Will there be any consequence if 0HRPOSITION_ATTR is not loaded from data source 0HR_PA_OS_1

Can someone please help me in clarifying this.

Hi ,

I think there are certain Key figures in 0HRPOSITION which are not being populated by 0HRPOSITION_ATTR data source.

They are populated by 0HR_PA_OS_1 data source.Hence we need to load 0HRPOSITION master data through 0HR_PA_OS_1 data source (in addition to 00HRPOSITION_ATTR ) if we need those additional key figures.

Can anyone lele me know if this is correct ?

Seems like both load diff data.

May be the Infoobject is enhanced to load even Staffing Assignments.

Look out the diff fields across these two datasources.

1) Why in the standard BC flow , Position Master data is loaded from 0HR_PA_OS_1 (which is a transaction data source).

Why Position master data is loaded via 0HR_PA_OS_1 data source ?

Can someone pls clarify this ?

It is not mandatory to load only master data into Infoobjects.

Some reports are directly generated from Infoobjects just like 0EMPLOYEE which by itself is a source for many reports.

0HR_PA_OS_1 - Staffing Assignments (Transaction Data) may be loaded to suit the reporting needs - Reporting can be done on <b>0HRPOSITION</b> itself.

0HR_PA_OS_1 also feeds 0PAOS_C01 Staffing Assignments Cube which can also be used instead loading 0HRPOSITION.

The difference in loading data from<b> 0HR_PA_OS_1</b> to <b>0HRPOSITION</b> and to <b>0PAOS_C01</b> ??!!

Not all transaction data is loaded to 0HRPOSITION but all transaction data is loaded to 0HR_PA_OS_1.

For the actual diff in data please have a look at the Update Rules from 0HRPOSITION to 0HR_PA_OS_1 & compare it to Update Rules from 0PAOS_C01 to 0HR_PA_OS_1.

You should find some keyfigures not being updated/available to/in 0HRPOSITION.

In short, if the reporting needs only transaction data coming out of 0HRPOSITION ( frm 0HR_PA_OS_1 ) you can goahead with just that else you may have to bring in 0PAOS_C01.
