Hi experts,
Forum results for installing business content includes collection modes, grouping options and help.sap links. But the real strugles starts below. please answer my concerns.
I wanted to install whole SD. what is the starting point. every one says starting point is infoobject. but installing one by one infoobject takes lots of time. even intall one by one infoobjects goes into unassigned nodes. how to overcome this problem? ok..if we start instaling from infoobject catelogs, end up collecting too many objects result in low memory and short dumps.
your help is much more appreciated with step by step process for installing BC.
Thanks,
vsn
Hi,
You can install CUBE wise by indataflow before... If the objects move into unassigned nodes then we have to drag and drop the objects into the particualr area......

hai vsn,
first of all check the nodes which r available for installing your infoobjcts from BI CONTENT. if it's not there install them from BI content.
select infoarea from bi contentselect selected objectsthere you can find your infoareas for sd,mm,pp,qm. install them all.
like wise you can install application component, roles, infoobject catalogs, for each module.
after installing these nodes. you will carry on installtion for infocubes, infosource, infoobjects.
hope this help you

Hi VSN
This is how I would go about it
First activate the data sources and replicate into bw. then starting with a cube install all the components below it by scheduling as a background job. once completed revisit and and install any missed out components by visiting the meta data repository.

Hello VSN,
This link contains best practices preconfigured scenarios. Just check out the scenarios for sales and it should be ok.
