prevent getting lost of data

Hello Experts!

I have severe problem which I cannot solve.

Suppose User calls the Web-Dynpro-Application in the Browser (Portal). He searchs any existing order and edit it. There are two ways of navigation. We have a kind of Menubar consisting of some buttons in the main of ther page. And second way is to navigate through the portal navigation on left

hand side. If the user changes any value he/she has not saved before,

the changes get lost and the user is not informed about unsaved changes.

It occurs only in case of using of portal navigation. While using the

the Buttons from the Navibar on the top of the page (made by me) in the

main part you get message whether you wish to save the changes which

you have done. Portal Navi beginns a new search and ignores the content

of the current page. They get easly lost.

Can I handle this somehow.

Regards

sas
