deleting caharacter from field

i want to delete one character from field

example: f1 = 'ABCD.EFGH'. I want to delete '.' from the field

f1 = 'ABCDEFGH'. I want to print ..

how can i do this,....

    You might have to use CONDENSE and NO-GAPS as well.

    DATA: a TYPE char50 VALUE 'ABCD.EFGH'.
    REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '.' IN a WITH space.
    CONDENSE a NO-GAPS.
    WRITE : a.

    replace all occurences of '.' in field with ''.

    Use replace all occurances key word and replace with space this will solve your problem

    and also use condence.
