SAP IS - Retail

Dear All,

Am SD functional consultant and having 3 years of SAP IT experience and 5 years of manufacturing industry experience. Now I would like to take (change to) SAP IS-Retail module as very good future for this.

Could you please clarify the following doubts?

b. Whether the IS-Retail is inbuilt or Add-on component

c. How to start on installing the IS-Retail with Best Practices with my own PC/laptop

d. How do I get the IS-Retail module study materials (with IDES)

Your advice will help me to choose my SAP career in the right direction

Thank you

    Dear Manivannan,

The latest version of SAP IS-Retail

SAP ECC 6.0 with IS Retail component

Whether the IS-Retail is inbuilt or Add-on component

If you chose Retail, then this will be inbuilt in Industry Solution Component

How to start on installing the IS-Retail with Best Practices with my own PC/laptop

You can install offline demos, not Best Practices scenarios!!. To do this, you have install and follow SAP guidelines of installing SAP Best Practices on your development client.

How do I get the IS-Retail module study materials (with IDES)

Study materials not available freely in market. You can get it through Authorized Training Centers (ATC).

Hope this info will be useful.

    Bye,

    Muralidhara
