ECM: How to Prorate the Calculation Base ?

Hi All

Understand that there exist a Calculation Base in ECM (IT0759).

This can be formulated through either

1) annual salary entered in IT0008 or

2) monthly salary in IT0008 x number of payroll period.

We currently input monthly salary in IT0008.

In event if employee has joined the company in the middle of the year, the calculation base should be equal to annual salary prorated by number of active days in calendar year.

It is noticed that in SAP ECM, the calculation base is computed as IT0008 salary as on end date of the evaluation period.

In event if we want to compute the annual salary based on

1) annual salary = monthly salary x 12 months x # of active days per year or

or

2) annual salary = {monthly salary (that fluctuates throughout year) / 365 } x # of active days per year

Do we have to use standard SAP BADI HRECM00_CALCBASE to realize the actual amount ?

Thanks.

Gregg
