Hi CAF Experts,

I have created a cas project with web services as the external services.I have created an entity service by using the external web service.Later one more method is added in the web service. Now i want to use that new method in my entity service. But that new method is not being shown in the NW IDE.That is the web service is not updated in the IDE.How can I refresh the web service with out deleting and reimporting it so that i can use the newly added method in my entity service.

Thanks

    Hi Sampath,

I have worked on Web Services before. But the scenario you are talking about is different. Nevertheless, let me tell you one thing, that I have always faced this problem of Web Service not getting refreshed whenever some change is made in it.

I would advise you try deleting and reimporting it, and building (by build i mean compile) the project again. Hope it helps.

    • Hi Sampath,

I am not sure whether what I will tell is going to help or not, but still try.

You are talking about mappings, right?? Are you referring to context mappings? Try right clicking on the node, there must be some option like 'Edit Context Mapping'. If you are able to find such an option, then I guess your problem might be solved. You won't need to delete the mappings after reimporting the Web Service. Just edit the mappings. Try doing it, and let me know.

And if somehow you do not find this particular option, try looking for some similar way to edit the mappings.

      Bye

    Hi Sampath,

However i have not worked in CAF , But i know about Webservices.

You have to delete and then recreate the webservice.

    The reason is :

Whenever you do some changes to request or response Parameters of Business method or you add another business method , this affect the the vitual interface of Web service.

So just by deploying and then refreshing the Web Service navigator will not resove the problem.

    Thanks & Regards
