SAP Profile Parameters which controls the [ Background Jobs ]

Hi,

Is there any SAP Profile Parameters which controls the [ Background Jobs ] getting executed.

Also I would like to know especially if there are any Timeout Parameters for Background jobs getting executed in the ABAP System.

    there is no timeout in background.

    Yes,

    there is....

    goto SU01D, parameters tab of the person / id which execute back ground jobs,

    there u can set the parameters

    Is there any alternative way to set a time out (common) for all the background jobs getting executed ?

    that would be difficult/ since u will have to set the paramter for all IDs,

    check with ur BASIS consultant if there s any other way..
