Subcontracting issue

Hii to all experts!!!

I am doing subcontracting process for my client but during reconcilation an error msg is coming CHALLAN MATERIAL IS DIFFERENT FROM RECEIVED MATERIAL.

Let me tell you the process which I am adopting. For eg I am quoting mat X (material to be processed from vendor) and material 1,2,3 are child parts of X.

1) We are manufacturing the X using 1,2&3. After this material (X) sent for sub contracting process (painting).

2) We have created Sub-Cont PO for X.

3) When I transfer the material thru MB1B reffering to SubPO, it transfer the 1,2 &3 rather than transferring X. To be more precise, in MMBE I can see the stock of 1,2 &3 get decreased and transferred to vendor.

4) I can very much able to create challan for the same and even in that challan I find 1, 2 & 3 materials.

5) Thereafter we do MIGO and I am very much able to receive the X by referring challan number.

6) After this, I reconcile & then it throws the abovesaid error.

plz suggest how to remove this?

kapil

    Hi

As per your process below. Are you sending the material 1,2,3 to the vendor. or sending X.

If you are not sending 1,2,3 you need to maintain adifferent BOM in the subcontracting PO for Painting of X.

By including the material X as the child component in X; You can do this by exploding the BOM again in the PO Material data tab.The system will give a warning saying recursive BOM. But you can continue with the Process.

In this way ... in the subcontracting challan you will be sending X & receiving X & the error may not come up.

    Reward points if useful

    Thanks & Regards

    Kishore

    Hi,

Make another BOM say named painted X containing sub BOM X. Make a subcon PO with this BOM - Painted X and proceed.

    this should clear the problem.

      Hii Anand,

Problem remains the same and nothing else but increase a level in complete BOM. I did like this.. Sub PO for Painted and material out without paint. And in reconcilation the same error. If u can connect me on g-talk then i can ask you something creative. Catch me if u can kapil3980atgmail.com
