Hi,
I'm going through the basic hands on tutorial published on Github, about Cloud Foundry etc. In step 7 it is explained how to set up the autoscaler service. But even though the tutorial more or less hints that you should be able to finish the exercises on the trial landscape, I can't find the autoscaler service on the marketplace in my dev space. Does anyone know what might be the cause of this?
Hi Fred,
how "old" is your CF trial account? Myself (and several others) came across the situation that the services you see in the trial depend on when you created the trial account. There seems to be no or a delayed refresh of accounts when new services are added.
So maybe a workaround is to create a new account and I would bet that the service is available there. No idea if this is a feature or a bug.
Best regards,
Christian
P.S: I just checked in my two weeks old CF trial account and the service is available there. I do not see it in my "old"acount created shortly after CF trial was available

Thanks Christian, that could explain it. I'm not sure when I activated the CF part on my account, but it must've been close to SAPPHIRE.
It's not my first account though, earlier (last year) I had trouble enabling services in my 'own' account, so I've started a new account. It looks like I might have to start a new account once again now <sigh>.
Thanks anyway 🙂
