manual reorder point

hello, friends,

i have define reorder point & safety stock say 500 with fixed lot size FX=1000 kg.

now i have requirement of 5000 kg & plant stock is 0.If i take MRP run then system will generate requirement of 1000 kg due to fixed lot size.

but i want total requirement of 5000(requirement)+1000(fix lotsize)kg=6000kg

please give solution for the same.

Hi,

Fixed lot size means procurement proposal will be fixed qty.(It is not a demand requirement).As per you, it is 1000 qty. Your requirement is 5000, so this qty is splitted into multiplies of 1000. After mrp run system will create 5 planned orders each having 1000 qty.

In reorder planning, safety stock is ignored.Make sure your mrp type is PD

You need to use MRP type "V1" instead of "VB", that will work excatly as how you want in this situation.
