Opening & Closing Posting Period

At the time of opening & Closing posting period ,we get two fields From Account and To Account. Can some body explain theuse of this two fields.Points will be assigned to all reply.

Hi

you can restrict posting to account range.

Example:- you have a accounts ranigng 100-200 and you want to restrict posting to this account 110& 111 .

Then you open all the accounts and restrict those two accounts in the from to to field give the two accts numbers

Hi,

Normally Account Nos. are alpa numeric. Hence the "zzzzzz" represent the last account number. This is to ensure that all account nos. are opened / closed.

Hi Mondar,

It denotes the maxim limit if the GL is alphanumeric.

Ex : 9999999999 is for numbers

zzzzzzzzzz is for alphabets
