Timezones and transactional data

Hi guys,

We have a client with timezones active. The server is based in Europe and we are in North America.

The user master records have the proper timezones assigned.

If we go to SYSTEM>STATUS we can see the different behaviours for users in and out of the DATABASE SERVER timezone. All is well.

Using locales we can print stuff accorfing to user timezone.

questions:

I've noticed that CREATION DATE AND TIME and CHANGE DATA AND TIME are displayed based on the database server.

If I go to Material master (DISPLAY CHANGES, the dates and times are all in the SERVER TIMEZONE.

If I go to IK11 , CREATE MEASUREMENT DOCUMENT, the field to enter the measurement time is proposed based on the SERVER timezone again...

Is this the intended behaviour?

Thanks

Leonardo

Hi Leonardo,

Please check this link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/50/dc9df2122211d3a54fdfb7b31fd578/frameset.htm#

On the left handside, you have all kinds of information about the concept of timezones and setting / activating time zones etc.

The creation date and time generally is picked up according to database times, however the display will depend on user time zone settings i think, however i didn't have time to go thru all of it..

so pls help yourself

Regards,
