Datasource for new GL and extra 0gl_account

Hi bw experts,

I have two questions:

1. I activated the datasource for the New GL at FAGLBW03, but when I go to RSA3 only the customer include field (ci_cobl) don’t have any data. Do I have to do anything extra?

2. In FI I have two chart of account (Operative Chart and Country Chart) and I need to differentiate them in BW. I need something like two 0GL_ACCOUNT. Is there any infoobject in business content that can be used as a second 0GL_ACCOUNT?

Thank you all for the quick answers.

My datasource’s name is 3FI_GL_0L_TT and activated it by transaction FAGLBW03. By the debug at RSA3 I couldn’t understand why just the customer include field don’t have any data.

I’ve created a new custom characteristic keeping 0GL_ACCOUNT as template, which I’ve named ZGLACCOUNT, and I’m getting master data through a Data Transfer Process to 0GL_ACCOUNT where I filter to ZGLACCOUNT by 0CHRT_ACCTS.

I’ve managed to get the attributes and texts by this way but the DTP doesn’t give me the possibility to get the hierarchy. And is something I really need, because is like if I need to have a second 0gl_account just differentiated to the first by the chart of account.

1. Debug in RSA3 and try to find why data is not being populated.

2. If you need to distinguish GL Accounts on Chart Of Accounts , what is the reason for not using IO - Chart of Accnts itself which may solve the purpose.

If you need second GL Account - how are you planning to get master data for the same.

Why do you worry.You create a new custom charecterstic keeping 0GL_ACCOUNT as template.All the properties of 0GL_ACCOUNT are copied.Keep it as a Template and go on by creating new Char.

Hi,

I did not understand you first query. From where did you cativate the datasource and what is the Tech name of the datasource ?

You have a infoobject for chart of accounts which is present in the FI GL Infocube, you can use that.

Also you have another infoobjects 0ACCOUNT and 0GLACCEXT which is similar to 0GL_Account, which can be used.
