i have done the following:

created company code

created sales org -> 1000

created division -> 00

created plant

created distribution channel -> 10

created shipping point

created storage location

assigned plant to company code

assigned sales org to company code

assigned dist.channel to sales org

assigned divi. to sales org

created sales area combi. of sales org dist.chann division

assign plant to sales line

assing shipping point to plant

Is there anything that I am missing?

    Hi,

    maintain Common Distribution Channels at T.Code-VOR1

    Common Divisions at T.Code - VOR2

    I think now you are able to create the customer

    Hi,

    check ur enterprise structure completely.since this kind of errors are occur when u have not defined and assigned particular sales area and trying to create customer master against that sales area.or the sales area which u had selected for creation of CMR might non rational.

      <b>Common Dist and Division</b>

      This is mainly for reducing the Master records...

      Plz go through this link..

      http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/53/c98659ca3711d2b494006094b9114a/frameset.htm

      <b>Example</b>

      You can, for example, create customer master data for distribution channel "01" and define it so that it is valid for distribution channels "02" and "03".

      <b>Note</b>

      The master data shared by several distribution channels applies to conditions and customer and material master data.

      This helps you minimize the cost of creating and maintaining the master data.

      You can also update statistics for each distribution channel and division without creating the master data for the different sub-areas of the organization.

    Hi,

    I am not sure if this is directly relevant to your issue but have you checked assigning plants to Sales Org / Dist Chl.

    Cheers,

    KC
