We have S4HANA 1610 and noticed Smoothing option is disabled in asset depreciation posting.
Do we know what is the rationale behind it and if there is a workaround to bring back smoothing? Our client already has SAP ECC and they are used of seeing their depreciation reports with smoothing method and are asking for similar monthly depeciation posting with smoothing for depreciation.
I understand it's smoothing is no longer part of S4HANA architecture but still i am if client still wants to see monthly depreciation old way what's the solution? Requirement is to depreciation amount equally on month basis from date of capitalization for whole year instead of doing catch up.
