Check which carries a future date and so the same can be banked only on that date and not immediately

if dated 15th of dec 2007, then i cannot bank in now? i must wait till 15th of dec only can bank in?

The cheque can be cashed only on 15th of dec and banks usually return the cheque stating"post dated"

hi,

post dated cheque means cheque issued today in a future date and that cheque will be realised by the receiver only on the date specifying on the cheque not todays date.
