2.No ranges are 2 types 1.External 2.Internal. my doubt is which masters can be maintain external and which masters can be maintain internal no.ranges?

3.In asset accounting what is the purpose of unplanned depreciation? in GL assignment we need to define accounts under unplanned dep a/c assignment. why? any specific reason, is there any effect in books of a/cs pl explain in detail?

4.In asset accounting we need to define calculation methods. I know controls of base method, multi method. But i dont know what controls of period control method. while doing it seems 01/01/02/02 what excatly this mean and what exactly controls?

    1. company code (but only as suggestion, you can change it manually)

    2. most of the time it depends on business needs if a number range is external or internal

1/ the company code level payment method as F-43 is a Finance related t code and does not look at Purchasing Org data

2/ No ranges are assigned to doc types, not masters.

It is recommended that you either have your Billing documents as externally assigned so the accounting doc and the billing doc are the same. You need to remember then you can create any docs in Finance only for that Doc type. the same could be for MIRO invoices.

Internal number ranges are where you want Finance to lead it.

3/ Market conditions could affect your asset and so therefore as well as the planned dep through the dep key you may want to increase the dep.

Award points if this is useful

    Hi

    1) While creating vendor invoice the payment method at company code level will take into effect.

    2) No. ranges are maintained for Doc. types not master records.

    3) If any damage will happen to an asset suddenly then unplanned dep is useful

    4) Period Control methods are used for the calculation of dep ie., monthly, quarterly, half yearly or pro rata basis, mid period of the month, starting date of the month or ending date of month. Depend upon the period control it will calculate dep.
