MAPPING RULES

Hi,

I require some clarity as to the functionality of "mapping rules" in List from data Stream.

My Understanding -

Here we map what which fields of the Data Source (Source Data Basis) are to flow to whic fields in Totals Cube.In otherwords we map fields of Source Data Basis to Totals Cube Field.

In the process we can set fields in target Totals cube as having a constant value also.

Can anybody clarify whether I have understood the concept correctly

You have a target filed where you can choose subfunctions like:

Set a constant, conditions or move a source field to a target field.

I think the SAP help is quiet good in this point
