Near Line Storage

Hi there

I have a question. We are considering using 'Near Line Storage' (NLS) on our upgraded BI system (Netweaver 2004s). To use NLS do we have to have Business Intelligence Accelerator (BIA) installed as well or is NLS a pure software solution???

Documentation does not show that I think. I have to do a lesson on the NLS subject, so I want to know for sure.
