Groupping of material / productionorders

Hi Gurus

Did anyone of you know a way to group materials, my problem is that we paint our product and want a way to group our materials / productionorders so we can plan our production, so we start with white -> gray -> black instead of white -> black -> gray.

I need a field who can be searched and can be seen on the productionorder. So it must be a field on the materialmaster??

    Jakob,

Can you come up again with your question. The question is not clear.

What I undersaynd from your question is that you want to group different orders material wise. You can use Production schedulers or MRP controllers for this purpose. Assign any of these to the materials as per their colors(in your case) and while selecting the orders you can give the selection criterias as MRP controllers or Schedulers and can differntiate between them.

    Hope this solves your problem.

When we paint, we have to clean up our paint cabin if we paint black and then white.

but if we paint all white orders and then gray and after that all black orders there will be no cleaning to do, only when we go back to white.

So what we need is a way to identify all our white/gray/black orders so we can produce them in batch.

    hi,

I think your scenario will match variant configuration.configure the material in material master & attach to the material group.

    Dear,

Create 3 ro 4 production Scheduler in OPJ9...black, white, red.

Once you create a order select the the production scheduler...which you can see. selcet the production order any time w.r.t. production scheduler.

    please come back if required

This is a very good solution and I will use it.

I only have one problem now and that is; I am not able to give any reward point somehow there is nowhere where I can assign point, have any of you tried that.

It is very anoying when you come up with a good solution.
