Using blank User ID in AE

Hi all,

Due to the fact that AE will overwrite an existing UserID if it already exists (see other threat), we try to change something in the workflow.

It is still the target that AE will create the user account in the system by it self.

Our idea was it to create a final stage in the path called "Help Desk" which assign a UserID to the "New Account" request. Unfortunately, the UserID is a mandatory field if you initiate a "New Account" request.

Do you have any idea how we can realize that the "Help Desk" stage can change the UserID in the request?

It would be fantastic, if you can help me.

    It is little complex.

    You can limit the authorizations of AE RFC user, not to over write the ids.


    Use the copy request or change request instead of New Request ?

      Thank you very much for your help. Unfortunately, it is not the solution I hope to get from AE 5.2 😊

      I can not limite the access of the RFC user, because I would like to create the user automatically in the backend system. So I have to find a solution how we can build the process a way, that we can ensure that only "not existing" UserIDs will be used.
