Hi All,

Can we restrict the Edit authorisation on the requisition page.I mean to say can we provide the edit authorisation to a group users and display authorisations to other group of users on the requisition page in erecruitment.

Also I need to confirm can we search position in the organizational data tab page of Requisition screen based on the structural authorisations

Please confirm.

Thanks and best regards

Hello Rajeev,

there is no edit/display authorisation in sap e-recruiting. If you can access the bsp application you can change the information. Exception is the application group maintanance. - there is a change between edit and display mode but this is still based on the status of the application group and not on the authorities of a user.

To the 2nd point: yes sap e-recruiting is checking organizational authorities. I did one of the few projects using them. For position assignment to requisitions it works that way that you only find the positions you have the org.authorizations for. But if the position is already assigned you will see it in the org. data tab even if you do not have the authorisation. So the pure display passes the structural authorization the search is checking them.

But be aware that using structural authorisations will be difficult and it might force you to do additional conception and additional implementation work as it is checked in every search on organizational objects.

2 scenario examples we had to solve:

1) You use the requisition request function for managers: A manager has structural authorizations on his department and wants to create a requisition for a replacement of his assistent.

He will find the position of the assistent in the search for the position on the org. data screen. But when he wants to choose the hr guy in charge of processing his request on the "requested recruiter" tab, he will not find him as the recruiter is not a member of his department and he has no authorization for him.

2) Candidates are checked by the hiring departments by sending them a questionaire for the candidate who applied for the job. If you use internal candidates - what happens if a finance guy wants to become an IT guy? The manager of IT has no structural authorization for the Finance Members so there will be problems with accessing this candidate as the EmployeeId is an object used in e-recruiting. But if you enlarge the authorization and use e.g. Managers Desktop for reporting the IT Manager will be able to report in Managers Desktop on the Finance members which is probably not a great idea.

Hope this helps and gives an impression on how complex structural authorizations will be.

Best Regards
