Data migration strategy in SAP rollout project

Hi Sap gurus,

We are doing one rollout project which we need create one new company(7611) code and copy from the existing company code(7602).

Is there any need to transfer whole data because they are aready using sap for 7611. there are no canges for new company code 7611

could you please suggest what are the steps in data migration.

how it is going to happen.

    Hi All,

    Please help me.

    Iam working on one rollout project in SAP 4.6C version.

    We are adding one new company code(7611) by copiying the existing company code(7602) in the Same SAP system(4.6C).

    Is there any need of Data Migration If at all any need what i have to do.

    Your help will be rewarded

      Hi Rahul

      If it s new company code then no transaction data migration is required.

      However what might be required is extending the vendors, materials, GL accounts. customers, assets to the new company code. Please check with them.

      (For example Vendor 12 was created for 7602, does it need to be programatically created for 7611 or will be master data team take care of it etc )

      Another change could be for the smartforms, Payment advice forms, DME files etc
