​FPM OVP: Variant creation

Hello Guru's,

We have existing FPM OIF webdynpro based application and now we have requirement to convert this application into OVP, so I have created OVP application with existing webdynpro component(since the application has lots functionality, so instead design from scratch we used existing component). Now I got stuck as existing OIF application has several variant and I need incorporate the same views using Variant in new OVP application.

Since I am new in FPM I am not sure whether we can create Variant in OVP floorplan or not. If we can then how to create because I was unable to find any option.

It would be great if someone can guide how to achieve this functionality.

Hello NJ,

in OVP you have Content Areas. You could e.g. transfer the content of a variant into an OVP content area. At runtime you then just have to navigate to the appropriate content area.

There is no option to create variants in OVP.
