split order - error : no product cost collector could dete. for material

Dear All ,

I want to use split order functionality for that i made required settings in order type dependent parameter for order type PP02 as cost to be collected on product cost collector and default dist. rule as PP2 periodic settlement.

After that i created prod. version for the finish material . While I am creating the prod. order system gives message " no product cost collector could be determined for material "

So pls guide me what settings pending from pp & co side for the same . Or otherwise pls suggest the sequential steps for the same .

Hi Anil,

i hope u have selected "Cost collecter" check box for order type. if so,i think u have to create version specific product cost collecter at KKF6N.

I think thats for repetative manuf. only even i tried the same for order type pp02 but not possible to create prod. cost collector for the same , if any settings missing in same then kindly suggest.

Hi Anil,

i hope u ahve decided the cost is related to a production order are collected in production order or in a prod cost collecter.

If cost tobe collected at prod cost collecter, u have to define at OPL8. if u set cost collecter indicator then u have to create product cost collecter for uor production type(pp02).

if u want tp select production type in KKF6n i think u have to define Order type at KOT2_PKOSA at Cost object controlling. since it is CO part please check with yuor CO cosultant, bcz i have never tried this.

what settings u suggested i already done and tried but its not working . Transaction u suggested thats for prod.cost collector means product cost by period & this settings i already done in order type dependent parameter for order type pp02 : cost colector indicator & distribution default rule as pp2 ( periodic settlement ) . so need to mantain the same in suggested t. code .

Hi Anil,

Since u have selected "Cost collecter indicator" and Dist . rule for a order type , the cost should be collected at product cost collecter AM i right,

so for that u must have created a product cost collecter for order type(PP02), without creating product cost collecter how u see the cost....

Even though u assigned order type at OPL8, i think u ahve to create a prod cost collecter for order type(PP02). To confirm this, just press F1 at "cost collecter" check box , please see the help line under <b>"Dependencies" -

"You must manually create the product cost collector independently of the production type in the menu of Product Cost by Period".</b>

Based on this only i have given the clue .. Anyway let us wait for more reply
