MIC link with Batch characteristics..

Can you pl share your information on linking the batch characteristics with MIC and further use of the same ?

dear,

Use batch management chareistics while creating MIC, Use this MIC in creating material specification. This link will enusre that while entering the quality results it will fill batch char also.

Hi

MIC's are quality charecteristics.

where as batch characteristics.

After usage decision is made batch will be clasified.

While creating the MIC you have to assign the batch characteristic( which is also called as general charactristic).

Before SAP R/3 ver 4.6B for batch classification to happen , yopu were to create material specifications.

after 4.6B there is a setting in QM plant level settings " batch valuation with out material specification"

If you make this setting., it is sufficient , if you inspect & input the values in MIC while results recording.Adfter usaage decision.

These values will get populated in batch characteristics also.
