GL Account/Product category mapping not working in transported client

We have implemented SRM 5 and an Ecc 6.0 backend.

We have transported the GL Account /Product category mapping config from the DEV client to the Quality client. In the quality client we run BDLS to set the correct backend system for the GL account/product category mapping.

When we create a shopping cart, GL accounts are not determined. We have noticed that in table BBP_DET_ACCOUNT, the backend system is still pointing to the DEV client backend system not the quality client backend system. Why is this?

Do we have to always manually reset this config in every client that we transport this table if we have new or changed entries?

    Hello Sheena,

May not be the exact answer but may be useful.

You have not mentioned yr technical scenario.

Generally for tech scenario CLASSIC it is advisable to

1.determine the GL account at runtime or

2.remove this GL account while creating ECC follow-on

we have opted for sr 2 via .....PO_NEW BADI

ECC redermines the GL via matl master>matl group>valuation class relation

the SRM config you have mentioned gives limited option for GL acc entries

    Hi Sheena,

Yes, usually in Clients, this step is performed manually in Every instance. This should actually not be a transportable object as it contains the logical system associated to a particular instance.

However, if you run BDLS did it flip the logical system in Table BBP_DET_ACCOUNT? If it did not, the only option is to maintain it manually

    Hi

Be careful to not copy product category guid from DEV to QA !

The product category guid (unique identifier) is system client dependant...

A manual assignment in QA is necessary.

    SAP OSS Notes

Note 444528 Assgnmnt target system + account assgnmnt to product categry

Note 338588 GUIDs in the master data of different systems

    Do let me know.

    Regards

    - Atul

    Hi Sheena,

GL account <--> product category mapping has to be done manually in all clients.

The basic reason for the same is its linkage guid can not be copied/transported to other client.

so I would suggest you to not transport this assignment table from DEV to QA to PROD. Instead every client has to be opened temporarily to update this assignment table.

    rgds,

    Ravi
