Spawned jobs in SAP 4.7

Hello,

i have a question regarding spawned jobs in sm37. Usually, any job running in sm37, if we look at its definition, clearly tells us what program it is running. but sometimes there are jobs which are spawned(not scheduled by user) which run programs, and i would like to know why these programs were tiggered. i have looked through the programs themselves but no clue. i have also looked at some tables with respect to these jobs, and they have no info regarding prev. step or post step. hope someone can help..

the names vary, but for example, there are lot of jobs starting with 0000000032971560 to 00000000329715*. The end numbers vary. Now i know this job executes program RBDAPP01 which has to do with IDOC transfers, but no way to know how this job was kicked off, or is there?

Hi again,

These jobs are automatically spawned to try to re-process idocs in an error status, usually because they were triggered immediateley and there were not enough system resources to process them altogether.

I don't remember exactly where it is configured but you don't have to worry about these jobs except if yhey consume all your batch processes.
