Hi guys,

Im new with XL Reporter, Im trying to do something, but I guess, I'm missing some basic info. I followed the manual that you can find at https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001160462006E.pdf and everything worked well.

Now I simply want to make a list of my Item, I select "Selection Row" I give the data range, I put the field ItemCode, run...nothing...if I come back & I add a field like the totSales (SO_LineTotal), it works...

Any explanation?

Thx in advance

Roberto

Hi

You have to add a measure like qty for it to work in the excel sheet.

Thx Daan, for your reply.

So you are telling me that if I want a simply list of my item, like (ItemCode and ItemDescription) I cannot because a numeric value is needed??

You are right Henrik, but still I don't get why I have to add a field of another table to get the data. I tried with report composer and I can see the data, but when I generate the excel file there are no more and just adding a field of another table (of course related) i can see my data.

Maybe somebody can explain me in a short the philosophy behind XL Reporter. For me is just a tool to generate report whatever is the report, even just a list of item code. But seems is not.

Hello Roberto,

I suggest to post new message if you need to know the philosophy behind XL Reporter. All forum members can possibly have it and hopefully they share to you.

Yes, you might get a list in the composer but when you are executing to excel it won't work without a measure. If you need it in excel you can always hide that column.

Yes in fact is what I done but I thought wasn't so much professional....

But if XL Reporter works like that...well...

Thx Daan

You should try SO_Quantity
