Hello Friends,

I have installed ECC 6.0(ABAP+JAVA SR2 SP9) on windows 2003 with Oracle 10g database.

1. I am unable to logon visual administration with j2ee_admin user. I think its locked.. I tried to unlock with sap* user. There also I am not able to unlock.

2. Now I have to configure java web dynpro. What r the basic steps for configure java web dynpro. My engine is sp9. Which netweaver developer studio I have to use. Please provide me download links.

3. Is there is any relation between j2ee_admin not logging and running java web dynpro. Can I run the java web dynpro without logging in to the visual administrator.

4. After installing NWDS how to connect the server from NWDS.

5. My system is standalone. It does not have SLD

Thanks

MS

Hello,

1. Use TCode SU01 to unlock J2EE_ADMIN user or change its password, then log into ABAP part with this user and retry to log in Visual Admin.

2. Please use the same version as your JAVA WAS for the Developer Studio. You can find it in http://service.sap.com/swdc

3. Normally, there is no relation between connection to J2EE_ADMIN and Java Web Dynrpo configuration. But you need a user with Java Admin role to configure WDPJ.

4. See this link : <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/76/08b34095070361e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">Deploying the SDA to the J2EE Engine</a>

5. If you want to develop Java Web Dynpro with RFC connection to ECC you need a SLD.

Regards,

Chris

You don"t need to restart the system.

Try this: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/44/aecb4253217037e10000000a422035/frameset.htm">Checking the Consistency of Entries in the UME Database</a>

Have you installed SAP EP in you WAS JAVA ?

Only these two actions are there:

UME | JMX | JmxManageAll

UME | UME | Manage_All

shall I give first one also...

Thanks

Normally Manage_All is sufficient as it is explained here:

<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/5f/670db7939b8e48999d65f8a05ad611/frameset.htm">Standard UME Actions</a>

Have you try to restart the SAP instance ?

Did you installed the portal Application in your JAVA WAS ?

Could you try to create an other user in SU01 and add it the ABAP role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN ? What's happen ?

Regards,

Chris

1. In WAS I am connecting the UME with J2EE_ADMIN(same password which I login to visual admin). but the error is

403 forbidden

you are not authorized to view the requested resource.

Thanks

OK, use the sap* user to connect to the UME and check that the role administrator have these action:

UME | sap.com_com.sap.lcr | LcrAdministrator

UME | JMX | JmxManageAll

UME | UME | Manage_All

Thanks Cris,

2. My NWDS version is 2.0.9. and my server is ECC 6.0 SR2 with SP9. system number is 33. In NWDS SAP J2EE engine: message server host I have given ip address and message server port i have given 3633.

Thanks

OK when you install your system you need 2 System Number.

One is use to connect to Central Instance system. It's the SN you put in SAP GUI.

The other one is use to connect to Central Services. It's this one you need.

So try with this port 3634 if you choose 33+1 in the install configuration. Or check in your instance profile : rdisp/msserv

Ok try to connect to UME with SAP* and check the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN group configuration:

http://<server>:<port>/useradmin -> Select Group -> choose SAP_J2EE_ADMIN -> Assign Roles: Administrator

Even I have given sap_all authorization also.

Hello,

As Bidwan Baruah said you need to add the role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN to the J2EE_ADMIN user.

Then for NWDS could you post the configuration you choose and the configuration of your server ? System Number, port ...

Use this documentation to find the right port number:

<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/4e515a43-0e01-0010-2da1-9bcc452c280b">TCP/IP Ports used by SAP Applications</a>

What client do you install ?

JAVA WAS works with only one client.

So, by default I think J2EE_ADMIN is manage in client 001.

Could check this ?

If this is the case, and you have created different clients you need to change the client assignment in J2EE System. See:
