Modification Events in Table maintenance Generator

Former Member

Hi All,

I am trying to create an event in TMG. I opened my table in Change view only. But the New entries button in the modification events is not visible and it is giving a message "No data maintenance Authorization, display only".

Can anybody tell me why it is happening and can solve how to create a modification event.

Thanks in advance,

Vasu.

That means that your user has only authorization to display the data, not to change the data - that's why you are getting this error.

Execute SU53 after you get the error to see what authorization is missing.

hi Vasu,

check in SE11 with wich auth. object the table maintenance was created, your profile misses that object. alternatively you ca run SU53 as well, to check which auth object is missing.

Hi,

Thank for all your replys.

I have checked SU53 TCode.

I found the error Authorization check failed. and authorization values are 02 and SS. Can anybody tell how to solve this problem and how to create a modification event.

Thanks,

Vasu.

Hello Vasu,

You need to have that authorization added to your user profile (usually done by basis). Once it is added log off and back on and you should be able to see and use the new entries button to create modification events.

Hope that helps,

Michael
