HI EXPERTS,
IT'S urgent,
i have 6 profit centers and 10 cost centers, i have to allocated the cost of a cost center to a 6 profit center. is that possible.
based on the income source i define the 6 profit centers.
based on the dept wise i have define the cost centers.
how to allocated it
regards,
supriya thodimela.
If you have any source of income definitely there will be some expenditure incurred in that department.
So you will have profit center and cost center linked.
For better clarity please mention more facts.
In our company we have zones where expenditure is incurred and billing for revenue is done zone wise.Hence profit center and cost centers are linked.
Award points if successful
thanks

Hi
Your postings will hit only one profit center - if you have assigned the Profit Center in the Cost Center master data
If it is not assigned then, each time at the time of line item you have to give the Profit center (it is possible only if that field is open in that line item - it is again depends upon the FSV of the GL of particular line item) - if you do not give the profit center in the line item then it'll hit the dummy profit center, from dummy again you have to allocate to correct profit center (this is very complex process)
You can avoid confusion by creating seperate cost center based on the profit center & assign the profit center in the cost center- so that all of your posting relating to one profit center hit the same and also write the validation for not hitting dummy & wrong profit center
