Number Range rules are not followed correctly

Hi Gurus,

Can you tell where naming convention can be maintained for material types, we have same number range for all material types in MMNR but while material creation we get different formats of Material number.

I have checked OMSL also but no Template is maintained.

Points ll be rewarded.

    Hi

    Material number ranges are derived form the material types & Assignement to the groups.

    Material Numbers can also be maintained based on the customer requirements using the enhancement MGA00002 or MGW00002(if Retail)

    Please check if the followingh enhance ment is active in your system

    You can check this using the transaction SMOD

    Enter the enhancement click on componenets & check if any code is written inside the function modulesor exits.

    Hi,

    Go to T.Code:OMS2 and check ur material type and check External Number Assignment Without Validation is ticked or not.

    You can also check in OMSL , format of material.
