Question - Forecast in semifinished materials.

Hello all.

I'm having some trouble with forecast in a semifinished material.

I have the consumption values in the material, have executed forecast and copy the results to demand management. The requirement is VSF. When i run the MRP the system calculates the requirements for the the forecast, ex: 1500 UN per week.

If I have a SO to the finish product with quantity of 500 UN the system will calculate the requirements 2000 UN. I want the system to make 1000 UN for the forecast because the other 500 UN is for the sales order.

Can someone help me please?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi

there is a field "MRP dep.requirements" in MRP 4 field.

you play with this field for semi sinished material.

    Try one of the option.

      Hello. Thanks for reply.

In the semifinished I used "1" in MRP Dep. Requirements in MRP 4, that means "Materials for dependent requirements are not planned". This is no good because if I have a SO for the finish product bigger than the forecast, the system ignores it.

    Hi,

    Forecast (PIR) 1500 UN

    Sales order 500 UN

    Requirement type VSF

Your statement is system creating 2000 UN.

But as per requirement type VSF,sales order will consume the PIR. So your forecast unit will reduce to 1000 UN.

In req type BSF only sales order will create another 500 requirement.

Check your settings in mrp 3 view strategy 40. And also make sure your requirement type VSF & for customer requirement type KSV.

Reward points if it is useful.

    Regards,

    Dharma

    In MRP3 view

    Please check then following

    Stg group = 40

    Consumption mode = 2

    forward consumption period = 30 days(atleast)

    Backword consumption = 30 days(atleast)

    MixedMRP = 1

    In MD63

    in item tab page

    CL field value = 1

Is the above settings are there are not?

    please check and come back.
