how long can I keep the session without processing (how many days)

Hi,

Its a basis setting to keep one session without processing. Usually for production system they keep time out for half hour, reason is performance purpose and if you are not accessing the data then other user can access it fast. I thing nothing is depend on days...Its a basis setting which time out the session......

I think this information is more then enough...

Can you tell me the reason / or for what purpose you want the session details that I can provide proper explanation......

Please confirm with Basis people....

Hi..

While calling the BDC_OPEN_GROUP Function module:

you have the Parameter called HOLDDATE.

if u pass the HOLDDATE = '20073112'

That means the session cannot be processed before 20073112' .

So u can set any date as Holddate.
