when i tried to create transformations a short dump is coming like ASSERTION_FAILED can u pls help me in this

This kind of error will raise due to incosistency of metadata... As per roberto you can refer the same notes.. If you dont have access then please let me know i will send the notes to you...

Vivek you need to check the same notes which have been sent by Roberto...

OSS 998730

And also you can check OSS 829353 notes if it is a ABAP Dump.

If you still gets dump once after implementing the above notes then you can check

Note 926854 - ASSERTION FAILED Dump after you implement Note 861469...

message is coming that SAP NOTE CONTAIN NO VALID CORRECTIONS

Did you perform the steps as per the Solution in the OSS 998730 suggested

<b>Solution</b>

Call transaction SE16 (Table Browser) and the 'RSTRANRULE' table with the following selection parameters:

GROUPID = 'space'

GROUPTYPE = 'space' or 'S'

REF_RULE <> 'space'

If there are inconsistent entries in the RSTRANRULE table such as:

TRANID *

OBJVERS *

RULEID *

SEQNR *

GROUPID 00

GROUPTYPE space or GROUPTYPE 'S'

RULETYPE space

REF RULE *

Delete these entries from the table.

Activate the affected transformations.

Note : Not all notes will be implemented by Basis.
