ODS Activation error

Hi,

I am getting an ODS activation error:

Activation of M records from DataStore object xyz terminated.

No more detail is given in the log. How do I eliminate this error?

Hi,

In moniter, details tab show the error of activation.

or

Goto SM37, job name BI_ODA* user name as * find the canceled job. Read the log the possible reason of error.

Thanks. The log in SM37 gives the foll. info in 3 consecutive lines:

Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table ZFR_NO.

SID determination finished for InfoObject ZFR_NO

Process 000012 returned with errors

ZFR_NO is an infoobject in the ODS. For the other infoobjects, it says:

SID determination finished for InfoObject ZXYZ.

and the error shown above for ZFR_NO is not shown for the other infoobjects.

Do you have any idea how to eliminate this error?

Use tcode RSRV & repair this object.

Hi,

If the infoobject ZFR_NO has any masterdata . Load it first. and then try to activate ODS.

In moniter, detail tab expand try to find for which value of ZFR_NO, SID is not determined.

The infoobject ZFR_NO already has masterdata.

The monitor doesn't show the activation error. It just shows the red colour for the status, and green for 'Furthur processing started', after which it doesn't mention abt activation

There should problem in settings of the variant ODS activation process type (ll le l proces.,settings) in each process chain for each ods separately and change it to dialog with parallel generators with number of processes to 2 each for activation and sid.... save the variant and come back and execute the process chain. It should work.check in rsrv for any error

Thanks. But the existing settings have worked for activation of other ODSes. Why did it fail for this ODS alone? I had previously activated abt 5 other ODSes.
