Physical Inventory - Limitation of 300 items in T code MI31

Hello Experts,

Would like to know if anyone has been able to create a Physical Inventory document with Items more than 300. At one of the clients we have a need to increase the limit to atleast 999 items in 1 physical inventory document.

Customising at T code : OMCN for program RM07II31 does not allow more than 300 items.

Would appreciate if anyone has a solution for this? Some user exit etc...

this limitation is on purpose.

Each item can have a difference. Each difference can create 3 item lines in the accounting documemt.

And the accounting document has just a technical limit: the item number field has only a length of 3. Means an accounting document can not have more than 999 item lines, hence the inventory document must not have more than 333 (300).

You can as well find an OSS note about this.

Your answer was helpful.However i could not find any SAP note when I searched. Can you also specify the note number & search criteria used to get this note.
