Unable to login to the portal

Hi,

am unable to login with any user id's in the portal as well as the visual administrator.

I tried activated emergency user SAP* but even though unable to login to the visual administrator.

I referred the following notes: 669848, 728075, 645976, 886879 and the

steps which I followed to activate the emergency user is as follows:

1) In com.sap.security.core.ume.service,Under Global Properties,

ume.superadmin.activated = TRUE

2) In ume.superadmin.password, I defined a new password, which I will

use later to login to portal with User SAP*.

3) Restarted the server.

Please let me know how to resolve this issue,

Hi!

Did you reconfigure the allowed authentication methods? Is password authentication allowed or does your Security Provider Service block this?

Hello,

I solve this issue always like this:

1. To start the Config Tool, execute <SAPJ2EEEngine_installation>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat.

2. In the tree, navigate to Global server configuration -> services -> com.sap.security.core.ume.service.

3. ume.superadmin.activated = true, ume.superadmin.password=<new pwd>

4. restart J2EE

5. Login with user SAP* and new pwd

6. Use visual admin to unlock admin user

7. set ume.superadmin.activated = false via Config Tool

8. restart system

Make shure, that you dont misspell the pwd :-). I never had problems with the emergeny user.
