Controlling and FM

Hi

I am trying to crate CO area but I am getting error message saying

"Company code SOBU is not assigned to an FM area"

Can any once please let me know how to crate the FM area mentioned above and why is this message since i didn't do anything with FM.

    Nivi:

    FM area assignment may be mandatory for for organizational structure.

    You can assign FM area to you r company code in Enterprise Settings > Financial Accounting > Assignment > Assign company code to FM area.

    Also make sure that you input the FM area in OBY6

    Assign points if info helps

    Hi Nivi,

    FM is fund mangment. If you are sure you are not using the FM configuration, Just go to public sector mang node in IMG and deactivate the FM. Then it will not ask you while creating the CO area or any other thing in IMG. Normally this node should not have been activated unless some one touched it. Any way if you de-check the check box in FM in node public sector mang.
