write data to BI with staging bapi

Hi everyone,

I have to deliver data from a Non SAP source system via RFC to BI. I'd like to use staging BAPI BAPI_ISOURCE_TD_T_SEND. There are several Import Parameters in the Function Module but no Fieldname for the Infoprovider i want to load.

I don't know if I'm wrong, does the bapi write to a Infosource or directly in the Infoprovider?

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can guide me to the steps involved in delivering data using this BAPI.

The document is interesting, but it describes not in detail which steps I have to do for using the BAPI BAPI_ISOURCE_TD_T_SEND. in the bapi is no parameter for the target infosource, is it possible to send data from a third party tool with pushing or do i have to pull out of the BI ?

It will be helpfull to have an usecase with XI or another tool.
