Cannot create custom fields of type List in Hybris Marketing - Error "Publishing Failed"

Former Member

Through the Fiori app "Custom Fields and Logic" I am creating a number of new fields for Hybris Marketing. This works well for all data types, except for one:

When I try to create fields of type "List" I get a "Publishing Failed" error. All other fields show up correctly in HANA in table CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT.

Does anyone know how to solve or troubleshoot this error?

Hi Joyca,

Thanks for your hints. I did take a look at the transactions you mentioned.

In SLG1 I could find corresponding log files. However, there was not much additional information:

In ST22 there were no related entries.

Any other ideas?

Dominik

Maybe transaction /n/IWFND/ERROR_LOG

But other than that I'm also out of troubleshooting ideas. And as to the issue itself I also have no clue; for me publishing of List custom fields has always worked.

Hi,

Could you check the logs in SLG1, there should be more details about why the publishing failed there.

Maybe there is even a dump visible in ST22?

Joyca,

in the ST22 log there is a dump available. I've asked a more technically experienced colleague to take a look. His assessment was that we'd probably have to debug the ODATA Service together with the Request file in order to find out what is going wrong.

At the moment, we don't have a lot of spare time. As it seems it's not such a trivial error to resolve and given that we are currently working on a temporary system hosted in an Azure cloud that is soon to be swapped for customer's on premise version, we will not pursue this analysis for now.

Thanks a lot for your help until this point!
