Hi Mentors

I think of this many time how this Archive tab works for message monitoring in PI system.

and where we can see the log and payload of messages once processed in the PI system and have been archived by PI system.

Please help me to get these details.

Thanks

Hi Suresh,
In order to Archive the PI messages , you have schedule or create a Job. By default , there is a Job which can be scheduled and this will retain the PI messages based on the parameters provided.

If you goto NWA - >Configuration and Monitorign Home -> Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Background Job Processing Monitor, you will find the details. You can create your own custom job too.

You have to make sure that the delete Job runs after the Archive job, otherwise no messages will be archived.

Thanks

Hi Sugata,

I have followed the path you have mentioned. But i get confused as it is inactive on my system but i can still see the payload of current week in the message monitoring. So is there any other background job which is saving payload on the integration server.

Please give me some more details on how the payload are saved after processing on the integration server or adapter engine.

Regards,

Suresh.

Hello Suresh,

When messages are archived successfully by background jobs, you could access http://host:port/pimon -> Monitoring -> Common -> Message Overview -> Archive to review all archiving details.

If your PI system is dual-stack, you have 2 choices here, Adapter Engine and Integration Engine to check archived messages in different stack.

Best Regards, Faison

Heloo Suresh,
can you share a screenshot of the Job details, there must be some job which is archiving the messages then. what is your PI system ? is it dual stack or single stack? if Dual stack then check in the IE - abap jobs for archiving messages, if already created or not.

For dual stack , please check the below links -
